Kick off for AFC Fylde’s and Fylde Ladies new 6000 capacity Mill Farm stadium

Contract Ecology are delighted to cheers on AFC Fylde and Fylde Ladies in the opening league matches at their new Mill Farm Stadium home.

It’s the start of the 2016/17 Vanarama National league and FA Women’s Premier League and AFC Fylde and Fylde Ladies are kicking it off in style at their new state of the art Mill Farm stadium.

The 6000 capacity stadium is at the heart of the Mill Farm Sports Village site which when fully completed will include 5 and 7-a-side pitches, a full size hockey pitch together with a 3G football pitch, petrol station and various restaurants and bars.

Supermarket chain Aldi has already successfully launched its new 1140sq m Kirkham store at the site with the 290 capacity Bradleys Sports Bar also open for business.

Contract Ecology Ltd was commissioned by the sites development team pre ground works to undertake habitat clearance and supply and install amphibian exclusion fencing and apparatus at the site to aid their ecologists with protecting populations of common amphibians sheltering onsite after using an offsite pond for breeding in the spring.

Our ecologist Ley was there to cheer on Fylde Ladies in their thrilling 4-0 win in their opening game of the season.

We wish AFC Fylde and Fylde Ladies much success in their forthcoming league campaigns.

The 31 acre Mill Farm Sports Village is located on the A585 less than a mile from junction 3 of the M55 at Wesham, Lancashire.
